“Social Activity and Sharing Day Workshop” was held with the elderly

On October 31, 2023, the Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Social Work, came together with elderly individuals at the Bartın 75th Year Nursing Home with the aim of helping them improve their social skills. Additionally, the "Elderly Social Activity and Sharing Day Workshop” was conducted with the goal of encouraging the elderly to establish strong social connections, share their goals, interests, and abilities, and support their personal development, as well as meeting their emotional and social needs.

During the workshop, which brought together students from the Department of Social Work and the elderly, various enjoyable activities were organized, including sharing time with the elderly, a quiz competition, collaborative games like Bocce, and a music performance. This event provided the elderly with an opportunity to have a good time and enhance their social skills. It was successfully carried out to support the social lives of the elderly and contribute to their personal development.
