The education period in the Social Work Department is 4 years and it is carried out as theoretical and applied courses. As part of our undergraduate program, there are compulsory practice courses in the fourth year (seventh and eighth semesters). The implementation weight of the social work program is 30%. In order for our students to transfer the knowledge, they have gained in theoretical courses into practice, they will be practicing institutions in the field of social work that provide protective, curative and social welfare-enhancing services in the presence of instructors. The application dimension of social work education is the process of testing to what extent all the theoretical knowledge learned has been internalized in a sense. In addition to this, the implementation process also covers the multi-faceted experience areas of working in an institution. In other words, beyond just confronting with the client group, students learn about the corporate culture, recognize and express themselves in this structure, communicate, recognize the relevant problem area, learn the type of service, style and functioning, and undertake professional and professional responsibilities. In this process, they develop the skills of observing, evaluating, developing appropriate intervention strategies, planning and implementing them.
