The Bartın University Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Social Work, held its 2025-2026 Spring Semester End-of-Term Evaluation Meeting online on Thursday, June 18, 2026.
The meeting, attended by Social Work Department students and Dr. Ece Parlak Ünlü and Dr. Elif İşlek, reviewed the educational processes conducted during the spring semester, including theoretical courses, practical courses, social responsibility projects, student club activities, and student participation in scientific events. It was stated that the meeting was organized to strengthen student belonging to the department, create a participatory learning environment, and increase student contribution to quality improvement processes.
During the meeting, students expressed their satisfaction with the current functioning of the Social Work Department, noting that the educational processes were planned, organized, and student-centered. Experiences gained within the scope of Social Work Practice I and II courses were evaluated; in particular, fourth-year students shared their knowledge and experiences regarding practical processes with third-year students, facilitating an active exchange of experiences. Students also presented suggestions for more effective use of the Social Work Practice Classroom, increasing the activities of the Social Work Student Club, and supporting participation in scientific activities, particularly TÜBİTAK 2209 student projects. As a result of the meeting, it was stated that the evaluations and suggestions from the students would contribute to the department's quality improvement processes and would be taken into consideration in the planning for the 2026-2027 academic year.
