An orientation training for the SHB402 Social Work Practice II course, which is part of the Social Work Department's undergraduate program, was conducted by the course instructors on February 9, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. The training was organized to help students taking the course prepare for the practical application process and to provide comprehensive information about the course structure.
The orientation program included a detailed introduction to the course's objectives, scope, learning outcomes, and assessment criteria, and the course syllabus was explained to the students. In addition, students were informed about the ethical principles, professional responsibilities, and professional attitudes they are expected to adhere to during the field practice process.
Important issues regarding the practices to be carried out in institutions within the scope of the training were also addressed. Guidance was provided to students on topics such as institution entry and exit times, compulsory attendance, compliance with institution rules, confidentiality, and record-keeping processes. In addition, general information was provided regarding situations students may encounter during the practice process, and their questions were answered.
