Our Faculty’s Social Work Department Held a Seminar on “Quality and Accreditation in Higher Education” for Students.
On June 13, 2025, Research Assistant Ece PARLAK ÜNLÜ held a seminar titled “Quality and Accreditation in Higher Education” for students in the Social Services Department of the Faculty of Health Sciences with the aim of developing a culture of quality.
The training covered the concepts of quality and accreditation in higher education, the reasons for the need for quality processes and accreditation in higher education, and the PDCA Cycle, which forms the building blocks of the quality process. Emphasis was placed on the functions of the Higher Education Quality Council (YÖKAK), and information was provided on institutional accreditation and program accreditation. The Health Sciences Education Programs Evaluation and Accreditation Association (SABAK), which conducts accreditation processes in social work education, and the evaluation criteria (education program, education outcomes, student and faculty profiles, etc.) were explained. The education was concluded with answers to students' questions and feedback.
