Evaluation Meeting with the Faculty Advisory Board

On January 26, 2024, the Faculty Advisory Board convened for an online meeting chaired by Associate Dean Assoc. Professor Elif Karahan. The meeting commenced with an overview of the mission, vision, and core values of our University and Faculty. Discussions included the proposal from the Department of Social Work for introducing a minor and adding "SHB332 Technology and Innovation Management in Social Work" as an elective course to the curriculum, focusing on the specialization area. Advisory Board members expressed that these proposals would significantly contribute to both the professional and personal development of students, thus positively impacting society.
Subsequently, our Faculty's Draft Strategic Plan for 2024-2028 was presented, and feedback was sought. Common strategies were identified, and discussions ensued regarding potential initiatives within our university's specialization area. The meeting also featured an assessment of the realization of the strategic plan for the past four years, accompanied by graphical representations. The session concluded with a constructive exchange of views.
