Bartın University (BARÜ) achieved another significant success within the scope of the “Accessible University Flags and Program Award Ceremony” organized by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK). The Department of Social Work in the Faculty of Health Sciences was awarded the “Accessible University Program Award” for its work in line with an accessible and inclusive education approach.

The Department of Social Work, which stands out with its practices supporting the full and equal participation of disabled individuals in higher education, was evaluated for its approach prioritizing accessibility in education and training processes, student-centered support mechanisms, and social responsibility-based activities. The program award obtained in this context is a concrete demonstration of the department's contribution to the vision of an accessible university.

While Bartın University continues to present examples of good practice in higher education with its work towards an accessible and barrier-free campus, the Department of Social Work in the Faculty of Health Sciences continues to contribute to strengthening this vision.
