A meeting and integration event was held with international students in our faculty.


As part of the meeting and adaptation event, on 30.03.2022, our faculty's international students and academicians, Dr. Instructor Member Ferda Karadağ, Lect. See. Merve Kırşan Büyüktarakçı, Lect. See. Ebru Cirban Ekrem and Res. See. Ece Parlak came together and organized an enjoyable event. While the total number of international students in our faculty was 74 in the 2021-2022 academic year, the diversity of countries reached 27. We talked about a new city, a new culture and being surrounded by new friends with our students from different countries and cultures, and we discovered our differences and commonalities. We talked to our students, who shared their experiences, about ways to increase their intercultural communication skills. By offering our students baklava, one of the most important desserts of Turkish culture, we learned about the dishes that stand out in their country. Our students were also informed that they can get help from the Guidance and Psychological Counseling Commission of our Faculty if they need it, and that they can improve their friendships with the "Communication Friendship Program". We completed our event with our wishes to meet more often with different events.
