YDİ-101 (Foreign Language English I) and YDİ 102 (Foreign Language English II) Courses Exemption Exams
For our students placed in our university (excluding students of the English Language Teaching and English Translation and Interpreting Programs), the exemption exams for
the 2025-2026 Academic Year YDİ-101 (Foreign Language English I) and YDİ-102 (Foreign Language English II) courses will be held face-to-face on Thursday,
September 11, 2025, at 14:30.

Students who will take the course for the first time and students who have taken the course before and failed can take the exams. Students who take the course to upgrade

-The exemption exam for YDİ 101 Foreign Language English I and YDİ 102 Foreign Language English II courses consists of two parts, each with 20 multiple choice questions. There are 40 questions in total. Questions 1 through 20 are from the Fall Semester course English for Foreign Languages I (YDİ 101), and questions 21 through 40 are from
the Spring Semester course English for Foreign Languages II (YDİ 102). The exam duration is 50 minutes. Evaluations are separate for each section and are independent of each other.

-Each student will take the exam in their own unit's building. The exam locations will be determined by your unit and published on your unit's website. Please follow your
unit's website for the classrooms where the exam will be held.
-Taking the exemption exams is optional. Participation in the exams is not mandatory.Students who wish to be exempt from classes can take the exams. Students who want to take part in the exams must apply to their units.
-Following the evaluations following the completion of the exams, the list of students deemed "exempt" will be reported to
the relevant units.

The application deadline is September 8, 2025, by the end of business hours. Applications submitted after this date will not be accepted.
